New Release: QUIC 1Gbps Client IP for FPGA - QUIC1GC-IP
Edge devices increasingly need FPGA offload to connect securely and efficiently from the edge to
HTTP/3 cloud services over 1G Ethernet — without relying on a heavy software networking
stack that adds CPU load and unpredictable performance & latency.
QUIC1GC-IP from Design Gateway is a pure hardware-logic QUIC client IP core for FPGA that delivers
secure, high-performance data transfer over 1 Gigabit Ethernet, making it ideal for a wide range
of FPGA-based edge platforms. Note: The datasheet will be available soon. In the meantime, please refer to the documentation for our QUIC 10Gbps IP (QUIC10GC-IP).

Why QUIC1GC-IP?
Modern edge devices need secure, high performance and low-latency cloud connectivity
without the complexity and CPU overhead of a full software networking stack. QUIC1GC-IP brings
QUIC + TLS 1.3 + HTTP/3 into pure FPGA hardware logic, enabling edge platforms to act as high-performance clients
over 1G Ethernet — with predictable behavior and faster integration for a wide range of markets.

| QUIC1GC-IP Capability |
What it Means for FPGA Edge Systems |
| Pure hardware QUIC Client (QUIC v1) |
Offloads transport processing from CPU/software, enabling higher throughput and lower latency on embedded edge platforms |
| TLS 1.3 in hardware |
Strong security with reduced CPU load — better resilience against modern cybersecurity threats when connecting to cloud/data centers |
| HTTP/3 connectivity |
Direct compatibility with modern cloud services and infrastructures using HTTP/3 over QUIC |
| Support 1G Ethernet |
Targets high-volume edge deployments where 1GbE is the mainstream interface (industrial gateways, embedded appliances, IoT aggregators, etc.) |
| Lower CPU usage |
More predictable latency and performance than software stacks — important for real-time and industrial edge workloads |
| Efficient multiplexed streams (QUIC streams) |
Multiple logical flows over one connection with reduced head-of-line blocking vs. TCP-based designs |
| Faster deployment for Edge→Cloud |
Shortens integration time by providing a ready hardware IP core for secure edge client connectivity |
